HCC to offer spirituality in healing class

The Center for Continuing Education at Hagerstown Community College will offer “Spirituality in Healing” on May 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the HCC Valley Mall Center.

This course, taught by Robert Bastress, a Sufi Master teacher, is designed to be an introduction to the philosophy and practices of Sufism as an essential basis for healing both the body and the heart. It is an experiential course which requires participation in class events as well as study of the text entitled "Music of the Soul" by Sidi al-Jamal. Health benefits include the healing of painful emotions or situations through love and wisdom and the ability to experience more compassion, mercy, love, and peace for participants and others.
