SGA hosts Friday the 13th Movie Night

Beginning Thurs., Nov. 12, Hagerstown Community College’s Student Government Association will host a free movie night for the 2009 remake of “Friday the 13th,” starring stuntman Derek Mears. The film is a remake of the “Friday the 13th” movie franchise, a series that spawned more than 10 films after the debut of Sean S. Cunningham’s original film in 1980.

All shows will be held in the Classroom Building auditorium, CLR-111. Show times are as follows:

Hagerstown Community College’s Student Government Association is hosting a family film double feature from Fri, Nov. 20 through Sun., Nov. 22. “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will be shown, followed by “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”

All shows will be held in the Classroom Building auditorium, CLR-111. Show times are as follows:

Fri., Nov. 20: 2 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 21:12 noon
Sun., Nov. 22: 1 p.m.

This event is free and is open to the public.  Light snacks will be provided.

HCC will host guest speaker Emilia Henson on Wed., Dec. 2, at 6 p.m., in the Classroom Building, room 120. Henson, a graduate of HCC's Paralegal Studies Program, will speak on the topic of "Mediation." Light refreshments will follow. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend.

Faculty Recital with Candice Mowbray and Morgan Jenkins

Flutist Morgan Jenkins and classical guitarist Candice Mowbray will perform a free recital on Sun., Oct. 11, at 3 p.m., in the Classroom Building auditorium (CLR-111). Works by Piazzolla, Ravel, Loiellet, and others will be performed.

Movie Night Featuring Twilight

HCC's Student Government Association hosts a movie event featuring "Twilight" on Thursday beginning at 3 p.m., Friday beginning at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Guitar Hero III Tournament

On Friday February 20th, 2009, noon -5P.M. there will be a Guitar Hero III Tournament in the classroom building rooms 106 and 107 at HCC. If you have guitars, systems, and/or Guitar Hero 3 disc, please bring it with you.
