Who are we?

The Robinwood Players Theater Club is open to HCC students interested in the performing arts. The club’s goals are to promote a better understanding of all aspects of the performing arts community and to foster the performing arts at Hagerstown Community College by providing opportunities to explore, develop, create, share, and support dramatic and musical productions.

The Robinwood Players Theater Club Film Festival is a local competition between the filmmakers of the future. Whether you are in college, a local hobbyist, or a freshman in high school, your art can be showcased at HCC’s Kepler Center. The Robinwood Players Theater Club Film Festival was created to involve the youth of today in camera work and let them develop their skills or showcase their abilities as cinematographers.

Music/Art

Between film screenings there will be musical intermission, entertainment, and concessions. There will also be a photography exhibit outside of the Kepler Theater where HCC student photographers will showcase their work.

Key Dates

Submission Deadline: February 22, 2013, 5 p.m. (early submissions are encouraged). Late Entries will NOT be considered.

6 p.m. “Favorite Childhood Fairytale or Fable”

March 9, 2013

9 a.m. – 12 noon “A Day in a Life of a Historical Figure”
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. “Favorite Excerpt from a Fiction, Science Fiction, or Fantasy Novel”
5 p.m. Awards Ceremony

ENTRY FEES

$25.00 per team or individual. Payments accepted: Check, money order, or certified check.
Any applicant who submits a check that is returned for insufficient funds by the bank will be disqualified. All entry fees are USD, per film and non-refundable. Entries without payment will not be considered.
