Annual HCC Foundation Tribute Dinner

HCC Tribute Dinner 2013
April 5, 2013 - 6:00pm - 10:00pm

The HCC Foundation will hold its annual Tribute Dinner on Fri., April 5, at 7 p.m., in the college's Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center (ARCC). This year's tribute will honor community leader Blackie Bowen. Cocktails will be held at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Cost is $125 per person. Proceeds will benefit HCC student scholarships.

This traveling exhibition is made possible through a grant funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.

The Annual R. Benjamin Jones Art Show will be held on Nov. 16 and Nov. 17. The opening reception will be held on Fri., Nov. 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. The exhibit will also be on display on Sat., Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

"Body and Soul" Art Exhibit

This July, HCC students will exhibit original artwork at the Washington County Arts Council, located at 14 West Washington Street in Hagerstown.

The “Body and Soul” exhibit will feature artwork by HCC students in Janet Salter’s portraiture and figure drawing classes. According to Salter, these classes are intended for students with basic drawing skills who desire to gain a better understanding of how underlying form and structure can have a greater impact on portraiture and figure drawing.

Multicultural Information Night

Hagerstown Community College will host an information session for multicultural students and their families on Wed., May 30, at 6:30 p.m., in the Elliott Center on HCC's main campus.

During this free session, attendees will learn how to get started with college and will also get an overview of HCC, including information about HCC’s English-as-a-second-language (ESL) and credit programs.
