On Sat., Sept. 17, HCC's Student Government Association (SGA) is sponsoring a chartered bus trip to Washington D.C. in honor of Constitution Day. Bus leaves from the ARCC parking lot at 9 a.m. and will return at 5:30 p.m.

The HCC Foundation will host the annual R. Benjamin Jones Art Show on Fri., Nov. 20, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Sat., Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in HCC's Kepler Theater. The event is free and open to the public.

About the Artist

HCC's Alumni Association is hosting its 2nd Annual Cash Bonanza on Fri., Oct. 9, at the Elks Lodge #378 on Robinwood Drive. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

Featuring:

    * Two complete Chicken Dinners
    * Unlimited Beer & Soda for two

    * Live Band, DJ and Dancing till 11:30 p.m.

HOW THE BONANZA WORKS

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on campus on Thurs., Sept. 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the ARCC lobby. The Third Annual Hispanic Festival of Hagerstown will be held on Sun., Sept. 20, from 12 noon to 6 p.m., at the Hagerstown Fairgrounds.

In honor of 9/11, a special remembrance event will be held on Fri., Sept. 11, from noon to 12:30 p.m., in the Student Center. Joe Marschner, assistant professor, music and drama, will be performing patriotic music and HCC student John Luck will speak about his experience as a soldier in Iraq. HCC International Club President Siriki Diabate will speak about the concept of American freedom and his experiences here compared to his homeland in Cote d'Ivoire, Africa. The ceremony will conclude with Scott Schneider on the bagpipes.

Get to know your fellow classmates when the SGA hosts a luncheon and back-to-school dance party from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center. The event will feature great prizes, fantastic food, wonderful music, and more!

Join the beach scene at the Student Center with caricature drawings, summer music, and more from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Don't miss the wacky fun on the other side of campus as Paul Plays It All performs live from the Valley Eatery patio outside the Career Programs Building from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Paul promises a lot of comedy, singing, and audience participation so don't miss it!
