A recruiter from the United States Air Force will be on campus to meet with students on Tues., Jan. 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Valley Eatery (located on the upper level of the Career Programs Building).

HCC will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Celebration on Monday, January 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Kepler Theater at HCC.
 
The celebration will begin with a musical performance by the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Choir and conclude with a dramatic rendition of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, performed by the Reverend Darin Mency. The event will also include musical and dramatic performances. A special presentation on Cameroon will be given by the HCC International Club students.
 

HCC will host its annual winter student art exhibit from Monday, Dec. 14 through Thursday, Dec. 17, in the lobby of the Kepler Theater.

The winter student art exhibit will feature over 50 students exhibiting a host of artwork including painting, drawing, mixed media sculpture, ceramic sculpture, jewelry, pottery, digital photography, and graphic design prints.

The annual Washington County Home Builders Show will be held on Sat., March 6 and Sun., March 7, in the ARCC.

The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be on campus Tues., Dec. 1, in the ARCC lobby, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you would like to make an appointment to give blood, please contact Student Activities Coordinator Heather Barnhart at 301-790-2800, ext. 225. They are also taking walk-ins.

Amazing Career Race

Students are encouraged to take part in the Amazing Career Race Scavenger Hunt. Students can pick up their first clue in the ASA building, room 900 between Mon., Nov. 16 and Thurs., Nov. 19.

All completed race forms must be turned into the Welcome Desk, located in the ASA Building, by Thurs., Nov. 19, at 4 p.m. Participating students earn a chance to win an IPod Touch.

Held as part of National Career Development Week. Sponsored by the offices of Internship and Job Services and Academic Advising.

From Mon, Nov. 16 from Fri., Nov. 20, HCC's Internship and Job Services Office is partnering with the Office of Academic Advising to host National Career Development Week. A variety of career-oriented events will be held on campus throughout the week.
