Indoor Water Park Spring Break Trip

HCC's Student Government Association is sponsoring a spring break trip to Massanutten Indoor Water Park in Virginia on Mon., March 11. Bus will leave from HCC at 9:30 a.m. and return to campus at 10:30 p.m. There is a $10 reservation fee to hold your seat, but you will get the $10 back after the trip.

“V-Day” is a special event inspired by 1 Billion Rising, an advocacy group that seeks to end violence against women.

An HCC Safety Forum will be held in room 213 of the Career Programs Building from 1 to 2 p.m. The forum is a collaboration between the SGA and Campus Police and will feature a movie, “Shots Fired on Campus” followed by a discussion with Chief Gautney. Discussion will focus on what students and staff should do in the event of a campus shooter. The forum will close with a Q&A about campus safety. All students and employees are encouraged to attend.

The fourth annual Biotechnology Summer Institute will be held from June 17 - Aug. 9, in the STEM Building on HCC's main campus. The Institute is open to high school students, age 16 or older. Deadline to apply is March 18.
