Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual faculty art show from Mon., April 8 through Tues., April 23, in the HCC Kepler Center.

This year’s show will feature more than 10 faculty artists exhibiting a host of work that includes ceramics, painting, jewelry, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture.

The HCC Public Information Office will hold its annual Casting Call for student models from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Center. Students of all ages are encouraged to stop by.

Students will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire and will have a photo taken on the day of the Casting Call. Students will then be contacted at a later date to take part in an HCC photoshoot. Images of students are used on promotional materials like class course guides, in advertisements, and on the HCC website. Any current student is welcome to take part.

Dates & Times

The HCC NOW Club will hold a free Lunch 'n Learn on Wed., March 27, from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m., in the Student Center. This session's topic will be Female Leaders at HCC. Students will hear from Dr. Donna Rudy, retired Dean of Students, and Theresa Shank, Dean of Continuing Education and Business Services. Dr. Rudy and Dean Shank will speak about their experiences as female college executive officers.

A free lunch will be provided. All students are welcome.

A new exhibit featuring the work of artists Kate Keely and Jennifer Hand will be on display from March 18 through April 4 in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.

Several students at Hagerstown Community College will exhibit work in an upcoming juried photography exhibition sponsored by HCC’s Robinwood Players Theater Club.

The show will be held from March 8 through March 14 in HCC’s Kepler Center and will feature more than 40 pieces of student work. Local fine arts photographer and HCC adjunct instructor Benita Keller will jury the exhibition.

University of Maryland at Hagerstown (USM-H) will hold its annual Open House on Thurs., March 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 5 to 7 p.m., at the USM-H building at 32 West Washington Street in Hagerstown.

Learn about USM-H's 20 programs of study; meet faculty, students, and staff; tour the building; and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
