The primary goal of this course is to provide instruction of advanced
riding skills to persons with riding experience, who possess a valid
Motorcycle Endorsement on his/her driver’s license.
Curriculum: The course consists of approx. five hours of
on-motorcycle instruction inclusive of break time. The core curriculum
consists of advanced cornering, braking, and collision avoidance
with emphasis on in traffic strategy and safety.
Enrollment: Open to all persons with at least six months
regular riding experience. Proof of insurance is required.
Cost per Student: $100.00 plus $5 registration fee for Maryland
State residents
$120.00 plus $5 registration fee for Non-Maryland residents

Community College main campus
Class Size: The class is limited to ten persons per class.
Riding Apparel: Participants are required to wear the following
gear in the course: DOT approved helmet, eye protection, long sleeve
jacket or sweatshirt or shirt, full fingered gloves with leather
palms, full length pants to the ankle, and over the ankle foot-wear
such as athletic shoes with rubber soles. Face shields, tinted or
clear, goggles, prescription eye glasses or sunglasses constitute
legal eye protection for the purpose of the course.
Rider Coaches: Are persons certified by the Motorcycle Safety
Foundation and licensed to teach the course by the State of Maryland.
Course Completion requirements: Candidates will be subject
to a brief skills evaluation and written knowledge test at the end
of the course.
Candidates will receive the MSF Course Completion Card (required
for U.S. Military), upon successful completion.
