Student Valentine's Day Dance

Student Valentine's Dance

The HCC Student Government Association will hold its annual Valentine's Day Dance on Fri., Feb. 15, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., in the Student Center.

This year's theme is "Dress to Impress." The event will include free food and beverages and music by one of Phantom Shadow's finest DJs. Attendees can also take part in a raffle to win a 42" TV, an Apple iPad mini, and a Kindle Fire HD as part of the SGA's "Support the Hawks" contest.

Admission is free for current HCC students with a valid student I.D. Student can bring one guest, age 16 or older.

The HCC NOW Club and the HCC Spectrum Club are partnering to sponsor “V-Day” on Thurs., Feb. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the Student Center.

“V-Day” is a special event inspired by 1 Billion Rising, an advocacy group that seeks to end violence against women.

HCC's Student Activities Office is sponsoring a family movie event featuring the Disney film, "Wreck-It Ralph," on Fri., Feb. 1 and Sat., Feb. 2, in the Student Center.

Starring John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, "Wreck-It Ralph" tells the story of a video game villain who sets out to be a hero and his journey along the way. The film will be shown on Fri., Feb. 1, at 7 p.m. and on Sat., Feb. 2, at 2 p.m.

This event is free and is open to the public. Unlimited snacks are available for $1 per person.

HCC has over 30 clubs on campus. Find out where you belong by attending the Spring 2013 Club Fair on Wed., Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Student Center. Club reps will be on hand to give you information, answer questions, and sign you up to be a member. Attendees will have the chance to win a $50 Grub Buck card to use at the Valley Eatery/Hilltop Grill.
