Toys for Tots Drive
November 15, 2010 (All day) - December 16, 2010 (All day)

HCC's annual Toys for Tots Drive is going on now through Thurs., Dec. 16. Please donate new and unwrapped gifts so that local children can enjoy presents during the upcoming holiday season. There are four boxes on campus where you can donate:

  • Classroom Building - in the faculty office suite
  • Student Center - lobby
  • Administration and Student Affairs Building - lobby
  • Career Programs Building - lobby

“Despicable Me,” starring the voice talents of Steve Carell, Jason Segal, Russell Brand, and Julie Andrews, will be shown at 7 p.m. on Thurs., Dec. 2 and Fri., Dec. 3, and again at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. on Sat., Dec. 4. All shows will be held in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus. Children and adults are encouraged to wear their pajamas and bring pillows and blankets to watch the movie.

The SGA is sponsoring a free family pajama party and movie night featuring “Despicable Me” from Dec. 2 through Dec. 4. This event is free and is open to the public. Unlimited snacks are available for $1 per person.

New scholarship available to Hispanic students

HAH scholarship spring 2011

HAH will award two $400 scholarships for full-time students and two $300 scholarships for part-time students for the spring 2011 semester. Completed applications must be received by Wed., Dec. 1, 2010.

Humane Society Adoption Day held Nov. 17

HCC students in the Legal Environment of Business class are sponsoring an adoption day event on Nov. 17 featuring the Humane Society of Washington County. The event will be held from 12 noon to 4 p.m., at the Student Center.

HCC students will sponsor an Adoption Day event featuring the Humane Society of Washington County. The event will be held on Wed., Nov. 17, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., at the Student Center.

If you're unable to adopt an animal, HCC students are encouraging you to donate towels, sheets, food, toys, or other animal items. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
