HCC offers alternative energy intro sessions

HCC offers alternative energy

As part of the new Alternative Energy Technology program at Hagerstown Community College, several two-hour, non-credit introductory sessions will be offered in October and November. These sessions are designed to provide more information to those interested in careers in alternative energy technology or others who want to learn about the technology for their own use.

HCC’s Robinwood Players will perform a one-act play, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” on Thurs., Oct. 21, Fri., Oct. 22, and Sat., Oct. 23, in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

Halloween Costume Contest

A Halloween Costume Contest for students will be held on Wed., Oct 27 and Thurs., Oct. 28. Dress your best and come to the Student Center for a photo. Photos will be displayed in the Student Center and students will vote for their favorite costume.

Safety Bug on Campus

The Safety Bug, bringing awareness to the dangers of drunk driving, will be on campus, from 12 noon to 5 p.m., in parking lot F (lot between the Career Programs Building and the TIC).

A Student Pumpkin Carving Contest will be held on Thurs., Oct. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Student Center lobby. Sign your team up at the Student Activities Office in the Student Center. Snacks and prizes available to participants.

Support the HCC Men’s Soccer Team by dressing in green and white on Tues., Sept. 28!

Starting at 1 p.m., you can also have lunch with the team in the Hilltop Grill and come back at 4 p.m. to cheer them on when they take on Allegany.

The SGA is having a contest for the biggest HAWK fan so be sure to stop by the Student Center if you are decked out to the max!
