Math Awareness Week held April 5-9

HCC's Math Club has planned a variety of fun activities for Math Awareness Week including the Amazing Math Race, a Math Trivia Competition, and Math Mania Day, which includes a π (Pie) in the Eye Toss.

Need cash? Participate in the Amazing Math Race on Wed., April 7!

Race around campus answering Math questions. Each pit stop will have a new
question. Once you get the answer, you will be given the location of the next stop.

The fastest team at each level will receive a $50 Visa card.

All participants will receive one ticket for the “π in the Eye” Toss at MathMania

Hood Transfer Day

On Tues., April 27, a representative from Hood College will be on campus to meet with students who are interested in transferring. The transfer advisor will meet with students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Administration and Student Affairs (ASA) Building, room 702.

Math Trivia Competition

Come participate in the Math Trivia competition on Fri., April 9, at 1 p.m.,  in the Hilltop Grill!

  • Up to 10 teams (4 members each)
  • Open to students, staff, faculty, and administration
  • $20 entry fee per team
  • $200-$400 cash prize to winner

HCC's Campus Ministries will be hosting a Day of Prayer on Thurs., May 6, in the area in front of the Student Center. Times will vary but throughout the day, there will be prayer groups, music, and discussions.
